Update on the fake "tea party" trick

A Democrat-supported shadow group put itself on the ballot under the “tea party” name, hoping to steal your vote in November.  Even with overwhelming evidence of their involvement— several of their candidates are former Democrat candidates and Democrat political donors—Democrats continue to shamefully deny their attempts to deceive Michigan voters.  Don’t be fooled; find out who the real, legitimate candidates are in your district before you vote, and spread the word about possible deception before it impacts your future.

Reloading for November

Once we decide on our Republican standard-bearers, we must take on and defeat the Democrats, because of their status quo policies and failed leadership.  Your help is needed today to make sure our campaigns hit the ground running.  Please give $25, $50 or even $100 to wipe away the failed policies of the Granholm economic disaster.  We have worked hard to prepare for this opportunity, but our fight has barely begun.  Your contribution is crucial in determining the future of our state and giving these campaigns the strong start they need to Fix Michigan.

A Note from the Lapeer GOP Chairperson, Michelle O'neal

Thanks to everyone who helped at the booths this summer.  Some new folks – we appreciate your all your help!  Special thanks to Gayle St. Laurent and Mary Brickles for cleaning the headquarters/office after all of the  events.  Thank you to Joe Suma for all the parade marching and for coming back to our booths to help tear them down. Thank you Georgeann Courser for being there to help and to Todd Courser and his family for jumping it at Lapeer Days to help pass out candy.    Greg Harper, Randy St. Laurent, Gayle and Mary all held down the “fort” during last Thursday’s storms!  Like we always say, “many hands makes light work”  so your help is deeply appreciated!  There are a couple of events left so you haven’t missed out!  I will need help this Saturday with a last minute booth in Metamora at Metamora Country Days and will need help passing candy out at the Country days Parade. Please call me if you can help.  810-358-9953. Then, last but definitely not least will be our Woods and Water booth in September (10th, 11th & 12th).  The Dryden parade will be on September 25th and walkers are needed for that as well.  On the same day, Stephanie Tschirhart is leading our “highway pick-up”.  Lapeer County Republican Party cleans M-24 from I-69 to Hunter’s Creek Rd. during the summer.  Call her if you can help.  810-614-3778.  Thanks again for all you do!

Sincerely,

Michelle O’Neal

Lapeer GOP Chair

Dear friends,

Our mission has remained consistent from day one—Win in ‘10. Everything we have done and everything we will do over the next 82 days is done with that goal in mind. As the campaign hits its final phase, the importance of that mission becomes even more clear.

Ronald Reagan once said, “Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time, we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith.” This is our time, right here and right now.

We need Republican activists from all over the state to join together in our efforts to bring real and lasting change to Michigan.   There are several great opportunities to get involved in the next couple of weeks, and I hope to see many of you on the campaign trail.

This election could not come at a more important time for the future of our state. Years of neglect and incompetence under Democratic stewardship have left us with little time to fix Michigan. Action is needed now.

The tremendous differences between the economic policies of Rick Snyder and Virg Bernero mean a big difference in the future each candidate offers. We can either return to the failed policies of the past, continuing to hold out hope for some mysterious change, or we can take charge, reinvent the way our state does business and grow again.

The campaign has already started, and there is no time to lose. The stakes are high and the difference between winning and losing could not be more stark for struggling Michigan families. Our mission is clear—Win in ’10 and reinvent Michigan.

Regards,

 Chairman Ron Weiser
