Senator Green welcomes Lapeer County Young Republicans to Capitol
LANSING, 3/18/2015 —Sen. Mike Green, R-Mayville, welcomed several young leaders from the Lapeer County Young Republicans to the state Capitol for an inside look at state government on Wednesday.
“It is my privilege to welcome these young students to the state Capitol so they can see firsthand what goes on in state government,” Green said. “It is important that they have a chance to learn what we do in our role as legislators, as well as the importance of civic engagement.”

Volunteers are needed to help with the Highway Pickup Program scheduled for September 27 at 9:00 AM.
We will meet at the Republican Party Office at 9:00 AM for Coffee / doughnuts so we will be well nourished for our walk. It will only take a couple of hours if we get 8 people to participate. It is a nice walk in the morning and a great way to represent the Republican Party. By pitching in as volunteers we save both our county and state money. Hope to see you all there.

Get Involved – Are you interested in Education?
This year all school districts in Lapeer County (Dryden, Almont, Imlay City, North Branch and Lapeer) have school board positions up for election. The filing deadline is July 22nd. School board members will be elected in the general election in November typically for six year terms. The election of school board candidates at the November general election can be a game changer for Republican minded candidates. No longer will there be a May election where voter turnout is small and union activists can have disproportionate influence.
Please visit our PAC page read our School Board Candidate Encouragement Letter. Gain valuable information on how YOU can help make a difference in education right here in Lapeer County.
